I promised myself that when I finished exams, I wasn't going to let myself fall back into my comfortable rut of not being motivated enough to do something creative. So keeping that in mind, today I went into the city to get some photos for something I've had in my head for a few weeks.

I'm sure everyone knows, though, that things don't ever seem to work out the way you'd like, so although I had my camera out for most of the day, I didn't get the photos I was after. Of course, not that I didn't try, but after some thought I've realised the day was too sunny for the mood I was after (and shade just isn't a good substitute for the more muted colours of cloudy skies), the grass is too dry so the colours simply won't turn out properly, and to be honest I just could have put more effort into setting the scene up.

I guess the thing is that I actually gave it a go for once, not to mention it was a great learning experience, which I can't say I go searching for very often (I know, I know, I'm ashamed). And now that I've thought about it more and have gone through the photos I took today, I'm shaping the idea better in my head, and I'm really keen to try it again. Not to mention I had a buttload of fun hanging out in a cemetery for about 2 hours. It's so big I actually got lost and had to rely on seeing the tallest building at Uni in the distance to know which way to go.

But yes. Like I said, feeling pretty motivated at the moment. I'll get those photos!
